Dry running, nothing to wear
The two claws turn in opposite directions without touching each other or the housing. The pumping chamber and the gear chamber are separated by labyrinth seals, so no oil reaches the vacuum side. Gears synchronize the claws with oil lubrication kept in the gear chamber.
Oil-free and contact-free
Dry-running, contact-less design. Nothing from the pump contaminates your process.
Built-in non-return valve
An anti-suck-back valve in the inlet flange stops air from flowing back into the vacuum chamber when the pump stops.
Air or water cooling
Air-cooled and direct driven, or water-cooled for the lowest operating temperature and the deepest continuous vacuum.
CE certified
The range is CE certified (declaration of conformity).

STRV-1005
Large model: STRV-1005. Configured with two silencers for compact installation. A 4 in. aluminum check valve and an inlet filter (flanged) can be supplied separately. It suits frequency-controlled drives for energy savings.

Water-cooled: STRV-105-WC to STRV-1005-WC
Water cooling in the gear box and the cylinder keeps bearings, shaft seals, gears and gear box oil at a low operating temperature. That extends their life and lets the pump run continuously at its ultimate vacuum.

Noise is the average level in dB(A), ±3 tolerance. Footprint is W × H in mm (W × H for most models, L × W × H for STRV-30 and 60 where length is shown). Length varies with the motor. Oil is not included in the weights. STRV-30 is the same pump as STRV-60 with a 4-pole motor.
Speed 3450 rpm at 60 Hz and 2850 rpm at 50 Hz (STRV-30: 1715 / 1430 rpm). Voltages 208–230/460 V, 220–240/380–420 V and 400/690 V. Ambient operating temperature 5 to 40 °C. Connections are BSP(G) threads, NPT available on request. Accessories included: non-return valve, vacuum regulator and exhaust silencer. Water-cooled models need cooling water below 25 °C recommended (up to about 30 °C). A gas-tight version is available on request.

Questions about claw vacuum pumps
What is a claw vacuum pump?
A claw vacuum pump is a dry-running rotary pump. Two claw-shaped rotors turn in opposite directions without touching each other or the housing, so no oil is used in the pumping chamber and the vacuum stays clean.
Air-cooled or water-cooled?
Air-cooled pumps are the simple choice for most uses. The water-cooled versions cool the gear box and the cylinder, which gives a lower operating temperature, a deeper vacuum (below 30 mbar abs) and continuous operation at that vacuum on most models.
What is the difference between ultimate and continuous vacuum?
Ultimate vacuum is the deepest absolute pressure the pump can reach. Continuous vacuum is the absolute pressure it can hold in continuous duty. Both are given in the tables, in mbar absolute.
